What do you enjoy most about working in the Pro Shop and interacting with members and guests?
What I enjoy most about working in the Pro Shop is meeting and interacting with members and guests. Many have had fascinating careers and life experiences, and I enjoy hearing their stories. I also enjoy sourcing and ordering merchandise and helping create a shop that appeals to members and guests.
What has been the most valuable lesson you've learned so far from working in the golf industry?
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned from working in the golf industry is the importance of being flexible and adapting to the needs of others. It has helped me develop strong communication and problem-solving skills that I know will benefit me throughout my career and life.
When you're not studying or working, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy?
I enjoy spending time outdoors. Living on the water, I love relaxing at the beach, reading, going for walks with my dog, and spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy cooking and baking.
What are your career aspirations after graduation, and how has your experience at Mad River helped prepare you for them?
After graduation, I hope to work in the sports industry, ideally in hockey through social media, statistical analysis, or with TSN or Sportsnet. My experience at Mad River has strengthened my communication skills and taught me the value of professionalism, adaptability, and building relationships.
