Men's Captain Report

8/1/2026

As you have no doubt heard, there have been comments related to access to the tee and pace of play issues this season.  This is understandable, as every member wants to play at their preferred time and at their preferred pace.  Gary and Carl have both provided information related to access to the tee which we believe will assist with that area of concern.  We are now turning our attention to pace of play.  During the seven-day period from Friday August 7th to Thursday August 13th, pace of play by group will be published and available to all members.  We expect that this will demonstrate that pace of play is variable throughout the day, based on a number of factors.  In addition to posting this information, Carl and his staff will be communicating with players in groups that have not maintained their pace with the group in front of them if they are outside of our pace of play target (4 hours, 15 minutes for 18 holes).  The objectives of this communication will be to highlight the result and also to discuss what might have contributed to the pace of the group and how that could be improved in future rounds if similar contributing factors exist.  Once armed with the seven days of data / results, next steps will be determined.  We are optimistic that by highlighting the importance of pace of play and assisting groups that don’t hit the target we will begin the process of improving upon this issue.  Keep in mind, it is golf and sometimes stuff happens out there!  As such we can all find ourselves a little slower than we would like from time to time.

As always, if you have any questions or comments do not hesitate to reach out.
