First, sign ups are open for the Member’s Opening on May 9
th and you can register here -
www.golfgenius.com/ggid/az6d2y. The event will commence with breakfast and feature a 9 am shot gun start. Teams will be set by the pro shop to ensure they are balanced and your team’s two best net scores will be the counters. Concurrently, the ladies will be playing their event which gives us an opportunity to mix and mingle after our round. Results will be announced and we will be wrapped up in time for you to attend the Club’s AGM that afternoon.
Second, the MMG will follow the format of the past few years – one day of golf featuring three different 9-hole formats. The field will be filled by a lottery, due to the event’s popularity. The window to register will be open from 9am May 5
th until 5pm May 7
th. The draw will be held on May 8
th. This will surely be one of the highlights of the year and many of our guests will see the course enhancements for the first time.
Finally, sign ups for the Men’s MAD League and our various matchplay events will open in May. I’ll provide more details on these events in future editions of the Mad Post.
The 2026 Chase for the Creemore Cup gets started with our first event on May 9
th. Points are awarded all season through our various events, including those noted above. The system is designed to reward both participation and results. With this in mind, we are adding results-based points to the players from the top two teams each week in the MAD League and to those who advance to the quarterfinals and beyond in each of our Matchplay events. The top point earners throughout the season will be eligible for the Creemore Cup event on October 2
nd.
